Prof. Dr. Dr Abu Yousuf

Professor Abu Yousuf, PhD, is an Executive Member and Director of Research & Integrated Thought (RIT) and a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Polymer Science at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. He earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy. His research focuses on biorefinery, renewable bioenergy, bioremediation, waste-to-energy, biomass conversion, and sustainable chemical processes. Professor Yousuf has published more than 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and 11 book chapters and has edited three books published by Elsevier. He has led and contributed to research projects supported by organisations including TWAS, the UK Global Challenges Research Fund, and government agencies in Bangladesh and Malaysia. At RIT, he contributes to interdisciplinary research, sustainable innovation, academic collaboration, and the development of practical solutions to energy and environmental challenges.
