RIT Hosts Iftar and Academic Networking Event with Participation of Young Researchers

 

Dhaka-based research organization Research and Integrated Thoughts (RIT) organized an Iftar and academic networking event with the participation of researchers, university teachers, members of research centers, and emerging scholars. The event was held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 5: 00 PM at China Kitchen Restaurant in Hatirpool, Dhaka.

 

The main objective of the program was to strengthen mutual communication and collaboration among researchers and academics, enhance coordination in research activities, and create an effective platform for intellectual exchange and academic networking for young researchers. Professors, researchers, and early-career scholars from various universities and research institutions across the country took part in the event.

 

At the beginning of the program, a Darsul Qur’an was presented from the Holy Qur’an by RIT Chief Executive Fakhrul Islam. This was followed by the opening remarks of RIT Chairman Professor Dr. Mohammad Ismail. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of academic cooperation, knowledge sharing, and building research networks in developing a research-based society.

 

Later, in his speech as the chief guest, Professor Md. Shariful Islam, Chairman of the Department of Political Science at the University of Dhaka, highlighted the need to improve the quality of research, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and enhance the capacity of young researchers. He also stated that research institutions must play an active and responsible role in building a knowledge-based society in the contemporary world.

 

The concluding remarks were delivered by RIT Executive Director Dr. Ekram Uddin. On this occasion, he briefly outlined RIT’s future plans and various programs designed for researchers.

 

A video documentation showcasing RIT’s various research activities and initiatives was also presented during the event. The organizers stated that such arrangements would increase communication among researchers and create new possibilities for research collaboration. They added that RIT would continue to organize similar academic networking events in the future to promote research and intellectual engagement.
